Meta Offers $5K, Free Verification, And More To Lure TikTok Creators

Meta attempts to draw TikTok creators to its platforms with the prospect of monetary bonuses, content deals, and help building their networks.

On Tuesday, the firm revealed that eligible TikTok creators can earn “up to” $5,000 in bonuses over three months by uploading reels on Facebook and Instagram.

These creators will also have access to Facebook’s content monetisation program, which allows them to monetise their videos, pictures, and text posts on Facebook.

Meta will also provide TikTok creators with content partnerships to help them build their followers on Instagram and Facebook.

Some TikTok creators will also be granted a one-year Meta Verified trial, including a verified badge, account support, and impersonation prevention. The corporation does not disclose the criteria for who will have access.

While TikTok is back online in the United States following a 12-hour outage over the weekend, the ByteDance-owned social network is still missing from app stores.

Although President Donald Trump issued an executive order on Monday delaying the TikTok ban deadline by 75 days and instructing the Department of Justice not to enforce the ban’s sanctions, it is unclear when (or if) the app will return to Apple and Google app stores.

Meta uses TikTok’s present problems by recruiting and enticing some of the service’s inventors.

The business also modified Reels to make the short-form video format more appealing to TikTok creators.

For example, Instagram creators in the United States can now share up to three minutes of reels, a significant increase from the prior limit of 90 seconds. On TikTok, however, creators can record movies up to 10 minutes long and, in some situations, publish content up to an hour long.

Furthermore, Meta wants to increase the visibility of Reels by recommending it in additional places on Instagram and Facebook.

For instance, individuals may see recommended reels in their home feed. Furthermore, they may see other reels in their search results.
