A man from Brixton named Guy Mukendi, aged 39, has been sentenced to more than four years in jail for raping a woman by removing the condom during sex without her knowledge.
The woman had only consented to intercourse under the condition that he used protection. In English law, this act is termed “stealthing” and is legally classified as rape.
The woman reported the sexual assault to the Metropolitan Police on May 9, 2023, stating that she had agreed to have sex with Mukendi on the condition that he wore a condom.
Evidence included text messages where Mukendi apologized for his actions, explaining that it had been a long time since he had last had sex. The woman took screenshots of these messages before Mukendi deleted them.
