Super Eagles Forward, Taiwo Awoniyi Bags Footballer Of The Year Award Nomination

Nottingham Forest fans have put forward Taiwo Awoniyi as a nominee for the 2023 Footballer of the Year award.

Awoniyi played a crucial role in helping Forest avoid relegation last season by scoring 10 goals in the league. Although currently sidelined due to injury, the former Liverpool forward has managed to net four goals in 10 Premier League appearances for Forest this season.

His standout performances at the beginning of the season, marked by scoring in three consecutive games and providing an assist, earned him a nomination for the August Player of the Month award.

Now, he is in the running for the Fans’ Footballer of the Year 2023 alongside fellow nominees Orel Mangala, Danilo, and Morgan Gibbs-White.

The ultimate winner of this prestigious award will be determined by the votes of the fans.
