Apple finally revealed the release date for the much-anticipated calculator app for iPad.
After more than 14 years since the iPad’s inception, Apple is finally preparing an app for the gadget, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
All iPad models that can run iPadOS 18 will have a calculator app built in.
The update is likely to be announced on June 10 during the opening keynote of Apple’s annual developers conference, WWDC.
On social media, the fact that the iPad doesn’t have an official calculator app has been a joke for a long time as people wait for it to come out. Since then, iPad users have used calculator apps from the App Store, like PCalc and Calcbot.
AppleInsider said last week that macOS 15 will have a new Calculator app that works with the Notes app.
This window can be resized, and a sidebar that shows recent numbers and other changes. We have yet to check this ourselves, but the new iPad app may be used as a model for the improved Mac app.
After the WWDC keynote, the first test of iPadOS 18 should be released right away. The update should be available to all users in September.
