Kwara State University, Malete, has dismissed 175 students for various offenses.
Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, stated that the expulsion was approved based on the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee, SDC, which met between October 2021 and March 2024.
The expelled students were charged with a variety of offenses, including examination misconduct, theft, using fraudulent results to obtain admission, violence, fraud, membership in unregistered groups, and possession of guns.

The administration underlined its zero-tolerance policy toward indiscipline, noting that the university is committed to generating exceptional graduates in character and learning.
