Famous Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede recently took to social media to mourn the heartbreaking loss of one of her children to cholera.

In an emotional Instagram post, she revealed that she had been the sole provider for three children, one of whom, Olamide Ajimuda, sadly passed away.

Jegede recounted her initial meeting with Olamide in Primary 4 and how he was set to move on to Junior Secondary School 3 after the summer break before his untimely demise.

She wrote:

“My heart is shattered into pieces. Losing Olamide to cholera has left an irreplaceable void in my life. He was a bright and promising child, full of dreams and potential.

I still remember the joy and hope in his eyes when I first met him in Primary 4. We all looked forward to seeing him succeed and advance to Junior Secondary School 3 after the summer break.

The pain of his absence is unbearable, but I find solace in the fond memories we’ve shared and the love that continues to surround us.”
