Rodri, the Manchester City and Spain midfielder, has recently stirred up the football world with his controversial views.
The Ballon d’Or winner, who won the title last month in Paris, has made it clear that he has no doubts about who is football’s ‘Greatest Of All Time’.
Rodri, who is still recovering from knee surgery, decided to share his personal opinion in an interview with the Spanish TV channel El Hormiguero.
When asked who he considers to be the football’s greatest of all time, Rodri strongly affirmed Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo. The Spaniard was clear about his assessment of Ronaldo’s abilities: Messi is the greatest player ever.
He also continued to accuse Ronaldo of having no natural talent, which not everyone agrees with.
Questioning the contrast between Messi and Ronaldo on the strength of having played with the two, Rodri stated that Messi was a constant threat on the pitch.
He noted that, although they kept Ronaldo out of the box because of his deadly goalscoring prowess, Messi was dangerous at any spot on the pitch.
