Manchester City player Kevin De Bruyne was burglarised at his 70-acre house in Belgium while in Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The break-in happened over the weekend while De Bruyne, his wife Michele, and their three children were not at their Bilderberg home.
Although some goods were stolen, no specifics about the items taken have been revealed. According to Belgian news site HLN, the robbers utilised a stepladder to access the first floor.
Kevin De Bruyne bought the home in 2015 and customised it with a pool, jacuzzi, and basketball court.
Despite owning the property, the 32-year-old midfielder usually lives with his family in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and rarely visits the Belgian estate.
Following the unfortunate incident, officials launched an investigation into the burglary to provide more information as the inquiry continues.
