Last night, on October 29, suspected political thugs set fire to the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA) over a purported attempt to remove the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the House Leader, Edison Ehie.
At about 9 p.m., a group of criminals in a white Hilux van broke into the assembly facility, disarmed the security guards on duty, and are said to have committed the crime.
It has been ascertained that the incident took place at the assembly facility located on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, across from the State Command Police Headquarters.

After some unexplained concerns, the legislators are said to have finished plans to impeach Fubara and Ehie today, October 30, when they began the session.
At the site are more than 17 security vehicles and four Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) outfitted with more than fifty federal security officers. Rumour has it that there is a breach between the governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
