Ondo State’s immediate past first lady, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, outraged Nigeria by describing it as a “zoo” on Wednesday in a post she made on her X platform.
Akeredolu said it while comparing the Nigerian presidential elections with the U.S. presidential elections.
In her tweet stating that Nigeria’s politics have become a state of chaos, Mrs Akeredolu was drawing on the analogy of a zoo to portray the instability and uncertainty of Nigeria’s voting system.
She wrote, “Just thinking. 2023 Nigerian Presidential Election Total Votes Cast: 25 million Counting Duration: 5 days.
“2024 U.S. Presidential Election Total Votes Cast: 155 million Counting Duration: Approx. 10 hours

However, one of her followers, Paulexy, @paul_ozah, commented on the post, saying, “Truth is indeed bitter. I can understand the attacks on her. We are doomed in this country, Nigeria.”
