President Tinubu Sends Warning To Nigerians Youths Over Nationwide Hunger Protest
On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu appealed to Nigerians planning to stage a nationwide hunger protest to reconsider their plans. He emphasized the need for citizens to allow his administration sufficient time to address their concerns.

This appeal was communicated by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a briefing with State House Correspondents following a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
President Tinubu acknowledged the legitimate grievances of the Nigerian people, particularly concerning the prevailing economic hardship.

However, he cautioned that a nationwide protest might exacerbate the situation rather than provide a solution. Instead, he called for patience and understanding as his administration implemented measures to alleviate the economic challenges.

Mohammed Idris reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the nation’s socio-economic conditions during the briefing. He assured the public that several strategies are being deployed to ensure sustainable growth and relief for those most affected by the economic downturn.
He said;
“On the issue of the planned protest, Mr. President does not see any need for that. He asked them to shelve that plan, and he has asked them to await the government’s response to all their pleas.
“So, there is no need for a strike. The young people should listen to the President and allow him more time to realize his goodies for them.”
