Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update for nine older Galaxy flagships since late March 2024. However, users of the Galaxy S23 have encountered a fingerprint scanning problem after updating to One UI 6.1.
Samsung has acknowledged the issue and confirmed that a fix will be released soon via a software update. The problem involves explicitly the absence of the fingerprint scanner animation when unlocking the Galaxy S23 devices.
This has caused inconvenience for users who have repeatedly attempted to unlock their phones throughout the day. Community moderators have assured users that the issue will be addressed alongside the April 2024 security patch release.

In addition, Samsung has already started rolling out the April 2023 security patch to flagship and mid-range smartphones such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, A53 5G, A13, and A52.
The company is working diligently to ensure that all eligible devices receive the update promptly.
