Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian singer, said that she became a musician because she had a crush on a “guy” who was often seen with artists.
Tiwa stated this during a recent interview with MTV Live while promoting her new movie project, “Water and Garri.”

The film, ‘Water and Garri,’ is expected to be released on Amazon Prime Video. Everything Savage and Unbound Studios collaborated to develop the film.
Water and Garri, directed by Meji Alabi, is the most recent addition to Prime Video Nigeria’s increasing library of high-quality Nollywood content.
According to Tiwa Savage, acting was her first love before music. Still, she entered the music industry to be closer to her sweetheart.
In her words,
“I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.’”
