Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), stated that despite the global economic slump, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has done very well in Nigeria.
He stated that the global economic catastrophe caused the country’s misery but reassured Nigerians that the government would soon emerge from the tunnel.
The Imo Governor delivered this decision on Monday after leading three other forum members on a solidarity visit to the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, at the National Secretariat in Abuja.
Addressing reporters during a closed-door meeting with the party’s Chairman, Governor Uzodinma stated that the current difficulty is worldwide but that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has implemented plans to get the country out of the woods.
“The truth of the matter is that the APC has done very well in Nigeria. What is happening currently is a global economic problem.
“We in Nigeria under our own leadership, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is also bringing out policies to ensure, given the kind of economy he met, given the kind of situation he saw when he came, he has started the treatment and by the grace of God, I am very confident that very soon Nigerians will be jubilant about how he has managed to navigate the waters,” he said.
