Elon Musk, the new owner of the microblogging platform, Twitter, asked Twitter users a few hours ago if he should reinstate former US President Donald Trump’s account. The response was overwhelmingly positive.
Following the attack on the US Capitol by his supporters that left numerous people dead on January 8th, 2021, the former US president, who had more than 80 million followers, had his Twitter account permanently disabled.
On Friday, November 18, Musk posted a poll on his Twitter page with the question, “Reinstate former President Trump,” and two possible answers: yes or no.
The head of Twitter added the Latin phrase “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” which means “the voice of the people is the voice of God,” to it.
As of right now, the poll indicates that more people want Trump to be re-elected than not.
