I Didn’t Impregnate Nengi—Bayelsa State Gov Diri Refutes Claims

Nengi, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, has recently been linked with the Bayelsa state governor over behind-the-scenes affairs.

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has denied having any relationship with former Big Brother Naija reality star Nengi.

Recall that rumours circulated that Nengi, a reality celebrity, had a child with Bayelsa Governor Diri Douye, who already had four wives.

Controversial blogger Gistlover took the time to share Nengi’s photo with the caption on their Instagram page.

“SHALL WE?? By the way, she welcomed a child with a governor 🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶… 5th wife in the making? Make I talk abi make I face front? All these girls be doing the most, owo ijoba na yansh dey chop am… this gist is super messy… all the hide and seek don end ooo 🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶.”

In reaction to the claims, the spokesperson of the Bayelsa Governor, Diri Douye, Dr. Kola Oredipe, has described the claims as “baseless fabrications”.

Oredipe said: “Nengi Rebecca Hampson has no personal relationship with Governor Diri. Regrettably, purveyors of fake news are not happy with the towering political profile of the governor.”

This is a distraction, and some of us are very justified in the many reasons offered to regulate the use of various social media platforms,” the Governor’s aide added.

“Sadly, while we were inaugurating a brand new road in Yenagoa, social media e-rats were spreading falsehoods about the governor.”
