Police have sent a team of experienced detectives to track down and apprehend individuals who shot six people, killing two, and set fire to a hut where two girls, ages four and seven, were sleeping in Gauteng, South Africa.
Lt-Col Mavela Masondo, the police spokeswoman, verified the unfortunate incident on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
“Preliminary investigation suggests the suspects were after the father of the girls, who was not at home during the incident,” he said.
According to Masondo, gunmen entered a shebeen in the Changing Spot informal community in Soshanguve on Sunday evening, June 2, and opened fire on the clientele.
