A Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) vehicle on election duty was involved in an accident on Friday evening at the Giri Roundabout bridge in Abuja.
The officers were on their way to Lagos with election materials, including NSCDC security.
People can be seen helping to pick up papers suspected to be electoral materials littered on the ground in a trending social media video. An eyewitness who spoke in the video stated that some of the passengers were injured, with one of them suffering a head injury.
He did, however, add that some senior NSCDC officials had been relocated.
