School Of Life Science Lecturer Found Dead With Her Throat Slashed In Niger State

Dr. (Mrs) Adefolalu Funmilola Sherifat, a lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna in Niger State, was discovered murdered at her home in the  Gbaiko Are of the town.

According to Channels TV, the late woman’s body was found early on Sunday, October 29, after churchgoers tracked her down after she vanished during a service. Professor Gbolahan Bolarin is the chairperson of the Academic Staff Union of the University (ASUU) at the institution.

According to several locals, she was discovered in a pool of blood with a gash in her throat and knives next to her after forcing the entrance to her residence open. The corpse was taken to the mortuary by police officials.

She was residing with a female housekeeper until her death, but on Friday, October 27, the girl was fired.

The headquarters of the Niger state police have not yet verified the event.
