More Leaks Surfaces As Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Reveals New Design, Many More

The question of whether the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a flat-edged screen is a big one. The latest leak suggests that Samsung may not break with tradition just yet.

According to @RoderSuper on X, as reported by SamMobile, the S24 Ultra screen isn’t completely flat. There seems to be a 0.3-0.4mm curve on the bezels, providing just a hint of curvature. This deviates from the leaked images earlier this week, which suggested that Samsung had chosen a flat display. In recent years, the Ultra models have featured curved edges, impacting aesthetics, repairability, and the feel of the phones.

The source further indicates that while the left and right bezels on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the same size as those on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the top and bottom bezels on the new phone will be half as thick as they are on the current edition.

It appears that the screen bezels on the S24 Ultra will be less curved than before but not completely flat. There are also rumors that it will incorporate a stronger titanium frame around the edges, taking a cue from the iPhone 15 Pro.

In terms of cameras, there are reports suggesting a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 48MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom fitted on the back. This would represent a significant upgrade in telephoto capabilities.

Beyond hardware, there have been discoveries of code hidden in the Instagram for Android app, hinting at some kind of exclusive Instagram launch feature for the Galaxy S24 phones.

The release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected in mid-January, providing a clearer picture of the phone’s design and components.
