After winning three Grammy Awards, rapper Killer Mike was handcuffed and hauled away.

The 48-year-old rapper won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for ‘Scientists & Engineers,’ and Best Rap Album for Michael.

However, immediately after posing with his medals, cops arrived and escorted him away from the event.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has not stated why he was arrested, although The Hollywood Reporter reports that it was for a misdemeanor unrelated to the Oscars.

The rapper is well-known for his political activities. He was a strong Bernie Sanders supporter and endorsed Democrat senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock in his home state of Georgia.
