Cheating Husband Sues Apple After His Wife Detects “Deleted” Messages He Sent To Prostitutes

Apple

A businessman has decided to sue Apple after detecting “deleted” messages he sent to prostitutes on another iPhone, discovered by his wife.

The middle-aged English man who is cheating on his wife says Apple’s lack of communication about communications that have been erased is the reason she filed for divorce.

He admitted to The Times Newspaper that he had become closer to a prostitute during the latter years of his marriage and that he would communicate with them using the iPhone’s iMessage app before deleting the messages.

But finally, his wife found the messages on the family’s iMac computer, along with some older ones he thought he had deleted.

“In my opinion, it’s all because Apple told me my messages were deleted when they weren’t.

“If the message had said, ‘These messages are deleted on this device’, that would have been a clue, or ‘These messages are deleted on this device only’ that would have been even better.”

He is now suing the tech giant company, alleging it fails to disclose to users that deleted texts may resurface on other Apple devices in an attempt to recover the more than £5 million he lost during his divorce and associated legal fees.

“Apple had not been clear with users as to what happens to messages they send and receive and, importantly, delete,” said Simon Walton of the London law firm Rosenblatt, representing the businessman, in an interview with the Telegraph.

“As we have observed, that isn’t true and is misleading because they are still found on other linked devices—something Apple doesn’t tell its users,” he stated. “The iPhone often notifies the user that messages have been deleted.”

“I would be eager to hear from other Apple customers who have experienced similar issues,” he added.
