Ebenezer Smith, a well-known Ghanaian chef also known as Millennium Chef Smith, has been held at the La Police Station for allegedly fabricating a Guinness World Record for marathon cooking.

Smith gave a certificate claiming to be the new world record holder for cooking continuously for 820 hours and 25 minutes from February 1 to March 6, 2024.

However, Guinness World Records told the BBC that the certificate was invalid and that Smith did not possess the record.

Alan Fisher of Ireland now holds the record, clocking in at 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds at Matsue, Shimane, Japan, from September 28 to October 3, 2023.
