President Tinubu’s Adviser Ajuri Ngelale Takes Indefinite Leave Of Absence

Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential Adviser on Media and Publicity and Official Presidential Spokesperson, has decided to take an indefinite leave from his current duties.

This information was disclosed via a memo he submitted to Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, this past Friday.

Ngelale clarified that the major reason behind his decision is a serious medical issue concerning his direct family that has escalated recently. He stated, “This tough decision was reached after prolonged discussions with my family as a serious healthcare situation at home has deteriorated.”

His decision to step down will affect his many roles within the government. Besides being the Presidential Spokesperson, Ngelale will momentarily withdraw from his duties as the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and the Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.

Although he fully acknowledges the significance of his duties, Ngelale expressed his need to prioritize his family’s health situation. The duration of his leave is still uncertain as he implied it to be an “indefinite leave.”

However, he was eager to resume his national service duties when conditions allowed. He added, “I eagerly anticipate returning to my full-time national service when time, recuperation, and destiny permit.”
