4 Injured After Bus’s Collision With Truck On Lagos-Badagry Expressway

On Sunday, November 3, a Mazda commercial bus hit a Toyota truck on the Lagos-Badagry expressway, and four people were injured in various ways.

William Manga, the unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Badagry Command, confirmed the incident on Monday, November 4.

The accident occurred at around 3:20 pm at the Agbo-Malu Bus Stop on the Age-Mowo axis of the motorway.

“Our personnel were immediately informed of the collision, and three minutes later, at 3.23 p.m., we arrived on the scene.”

“One person struck one head on a Mazda commercial bus (ABJ 95 YJ) and a Toyota vehicle (KTU 339 YJ) coming from Badagry.

“The crash impacted 18 people, four of whom were hurt in varying degrees.

“The four injured persons have been admitted to General Hospital, Badagry,” he told them.

The commanding officer stated the crash was caused by the drunk driving of the two drivers.

The two cars, he said, had been towed away and sent to the FRSC headquarters in Badagry.

Manga encouraged passengers to admonish drivers about speeding, and drivers to slow down on the one-way motorway.
