The Google Pixel Screenshots app has received a new update. The most recent update essentially adds new shortcuts, modifies carousels, and renders “All screenshots” unnecessary.

Following the October feature drop, Google updated the Pixel Screenshots app.

Google released the October Feature Drop for Pixel smartphones last month. In the Pixel Screenshots app, Google effectively unleashed its Gemini Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) with the upgrade. The October Feature Drop will be available for devices ranging from the Pixel 6 to the most recent Pixel 9 Pro.

Users of Pixel devices that qualify for the update will be able to search for content using the app’s Gen AI capabilities. Google specifically revealed that users could “help you find something you saved in Pixel Screenshots, from wherever you are on your phone” by appending “in Screenshots” to any command.

In essence, Gemini would sift through the photos to find the context and information that consumers requested.

Another update has been released for the Pixel Screenshots app. Right now, it can be found in the Play Store. Pixel Screenshots v0.24.373.08 include a number of UI enhancements and modifications.

Google removes “All screenshots” and makes it easier to scan pictures swiftly.

There are two carousels on the Pixel Screenshots app’s homepage dedicated to collections and reminders. A grid containing all of the screenshots that were taken is then included in these segments. In the past, users could access a full-screen “All screenshots” view.

According to reports, the All Screenshots feature is no longer available in the most recent version of the Pixel Screenshots app. Google has instead positioned the grid density settings right on the home screen.

Users can now choose between four or three squares going ahead. There are two rectangle previews as well, which provide a glance. It goes without saying that this removes the need to touch on the “All screenshots” view before modifying the grid density.

Additionally, Google added an FAB (Floating Action Button) in place of the “Select screenshots” option in the Collections display. The overflow menu now includes the “Edit title” and “Delete” choices.

Additionally, the update adds app shortcuts that enable users to “Take a photo” and “Add an image” from the home screen with ease. For these actions, users don’t even need to visit the FAB.

Google has also reduced long transcriptions and descriptions. This implies that you may quickly access the “Add a note” or “Add to collection” fields without having to scroll to the end of the text.
