Why I Reconciled With My Brother, Aremu During Our Late Mother’s Burial—Kunle Afolayan

Renowned Nigerian actor and film producer Kunle Afolayan has finally revealed why he decided to settle the rift between him and his brother, Aremu Afolayan.

Both Kunle and Aremu had been at loggerheads for a long time, a feud that drew public interest when Aremu claimed their well-known filmmaker father, Ade Love, suffered poverty amidst his fame.

In reaction to Aremu’s remarks in a trending interview, Kunle branded him as being foolish.

Gladly, the siblings found common ground and settled their differences during their mother’s wake in Oyo State on November 22, 2024.

Addressing attendees at the wake ceremony, Kunle stated that he wasn’t just Aremu’s elder brother but more of a father figure to him due to their ten-year age difference.

He criticised Aremu’s friends for instigating the dispute but affirmed that love overcomes all conflicts.

Aremu, on the other hand, expressed his regret to Kunle for causing the social media uproar, affirming his love for Kunle.

“My greatest joy today is that my mother’s persistent prayers led to our reconciliation. I was labelled the misfit in the family, but I disagree with my brother Kunle; he has no excuses because people say we look alike. I apologise for dragging Kunle into the Instagram backlash. It’s merely because I love you.”
