The luxurious hidden treasures of ex-Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad have been disclosed following his flight to Moscow. In the wake of his departure, Syrian rebels seized control of his vacated presidential palace in a rapid offensive operation.
Inside the grand estate, the rebels made some astonishing discoveries. They unearthed a large collection of high-end, exclusive vehicles, including Mercedes, Porches, Audis, and even Ferraris, stored in a vast garage.
Expensive SUVs, motorcycles, ATVs, and even what seemed to be an armoured truck also formed part of this extravagant auto collection.
Footage circulating on social media captures the rebels exploring the palace.
The palace features an opulent mansion and a vast garage filled with pricey cars previously owned by the ousted dictator. One observer recognised a highly sought-after Mercedes-Benz model with gullwing doors.
In one of the viral clips, men can be seen looting furniture and artwork while women clothed in full hijab sift through the kitchenware and bedding.
Another video reveals an armoury filled with an impressive collection of submachine guns.
After successfully taking control of Damascus’s capital, the rebel forces found the palace deserted. The power shift marks the end of the 50-year Baath dynasty in Syria, during which Bashar-al Assad and his family enjoyed a lavish lifestyle while many Syrians lived in poverty.
The former leader fled the country via plane and has reportedly arrived in Moscow. Russian state media sources claim that Bashar Al-Assad and his family have been provided political asylum in Russia.
