Donald Trump has hailed the United Kingdom prime minister, Keir Starmer, for doing a great job thus far since his arrival in the position as British leader.
Trump has stated that he thinks Sir Keir Starmer has “done a very good job” thus far and added that the pair will chat over the phone “over the next 24 hours.”
The US president stated that he and the prime minister “get along well” despite Sir Keir’s “liberalism, which is slightly different from mine.”
“But I think he’s a very good person,” Mr. Trump added. “I think he’s done a great job thus far.
“He has represented his country through his philosophy. I may disagree with his viewpoint, but we have a great friendship.”
Sir Keir met Donald Trump for dinner at Trump Tower in New York in September before he was elected President for the second time, and he spoke with him twice before his inauguration.
Trump told reporters on Air Force One that his first international trip may be to the United Kingdom or Saudi Arabia, which he visited as President during his first term.
The US president stated that “traditionally it could be the UK,” but the last time he came to Saudi Arabia, the country pledged to buy billions of dollars of US merchandise.
“If that offer were right, I’d do that again,” said the guy.
His complimentary statements on Sir Keir contrasted with those of billionaire Elon Musk, who has played a prominent part in his second presidency and regularly called for the prime minister’s resignation.
