Galaxy S25 S Pen’s Bluetooth Ditched! Samsung Explains As Tech Enthusiasts React
The S Pen has long been an iconic component of Samsung’s Note devices. The smart stylus was crucial in increasing the productivity of phablet smartphones.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra began a new age for the S Pen, which no longer requires Bluetooth.

Samsung released the Galaxy S25 Ultra with an integrated S Pen, although it has significant feature limitations.
Some fan-favourite features, such as remote control, gestures, and Air Actions, are being discontinued due to a lack of Bluetooth capability.
Because there is no Bluetooth, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen will not let you take unique images or browse around the Gallery, Samsung Internet, Voice Recorder, Samsung Notes, PowerPoint, Media Playback, and Air Actions.
Samsung believes most customers did not fully use the wireless and air gesture features. This discovery (or smart clarification) prompted the development team to reduce costs by omitting Bluetooth from the S Pen.
The S Pen in the S24 Ultra and prior models charges via the device. When the user inserts the stylus into its compartment (inside the phone’s body), it begins charging itself to be ready for the next set of actions when ejected.
This year’s S Pen has been functionally downgraded, and Samsung may eventually remove the stylus entirely. The justifications would be the same: people weren’t using the S Pen enough.
So, there’s no need to compromise if you don’t utilise the S Pen functions frequently. Buyers may forego upgrading to the S25 Ultra if they can’t live without their Samsung flagship’s legendary S Pen capabilities. How about you?
