Nathaniel Bassey To Minister At Donald Trump’s Inaugural Ceremony

Nathaniel Bassey, a Nigerian pastor and gospel minister, has been extended an invitation to serve as a minister at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

The swearing-in ceremony of Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will be preceded by an affair scheduled for January 20, 2025, at the Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom in Washington, D.C.

Reverend Merrie Turner will serve as the event’s presenter, which is neither political nor governmental.

Pastor Bassey will be a part of a speaker and minister lineup that includes Dr. Alveda King, Pastor Mario Bramnick, Revivalist Rebecca Macchi, and Dr. Dominiquae Bierman.

Nathaniel Bassey announced his participation on Instagram on Sunday, stating, “Let us create a roar in the States.” And permit the King of Glory to enter. I will see you on January 20, 2025.

“The Presidential Prayer Breakfast is a non-official and non-governmental event. It is a faith-based institution that offers intercessory prayers and worship to God on behalf of the president’s office and the National Government.

He stated that this event is conducted every four years, immediately preceding the inauguration ceremony, as a breakfast devotional meeting that precedes each new administration.

In 2024, he was honoured by the Mayor of Albany, New York. He designated October 6 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” to recognise his contributions to gospel music and positive impact on communities worldwide.
