Samsung Galaxy S25 series pricing leaked
Samsung has reportedly maintained pricing for the base models of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series in South Korea. While the base models retain their previous pricing, higher-capacity variants will see a slight price increase to offset rising production costs.
According to FNNews (via Jukanlosreve) indicates that the South Korean launch price for the Galaxy S25 series will align with the Galaxy S24 series, suggesting potential positive pricing implications for global markets including North America, Asia, and Europe.
Maintaining base model pricing represents a strategic decision to mitigate potential sales decline.
This counter-strategy directly addresses Apple’s aggressive marketing within Samsung’s domestic market, extending beyond key territories such as the US and Europe.
This year’s product line features a standard 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. A 128GB storage option may be available in certain European markets.
Pricing details for the base models are as follows:
256GB Models:
Galaxy S25: 1,155,000 KRW ($796.99)
Galaxy S25+: 1,353,000 KRW ($933.62)
Galaxy S25 Ultra: 1,698,400 KRW ($1,171.96)
Pricing for base models will remain unchanged; however, the premium models will see modest price increases: the Galaxy S25 will increase by KRW 25,400 ($17.53), while the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra will each increase by KRW 15,400 ($10.63) compared to their predecessors.
Price Hikes:
Galaxy S25 (512GB): 25,400 KRW ($17.53)
Galaxy S25+ and Ultra (512GB): 15,400 KRW ($10.63)
Considering the recent price increase, the projected pricing for the 512GB Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models is as follows.
512GB Models:
Galaxy S25: 1,313,400 KRW ($906.29)
Galaxy S25+: 1,511,400 KRW ($1,042.92)
Galaxy S25 Ultra: 1,856,800 KRW ($1,281.26)
These values reflect the given KRW-to-USD exchange rate of 1,449.20.
The Galaxy S25 series will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset globally. This chipset commands a 20% premium over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Coupled with unfavorable USD-KRW exchange rates, this necessitates a slight price adjustment for the 512GB models.
The Galaxy S25 series launch event is scheduled for January 22nd in San Jose, California.
