Apple iPhone 17 To Rival Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra With Feature: Must Read
Apple is considering the addition of 12GB of RAM in its upcoming iPhone 17 models, potentially aligning it with Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series.
However, this enhancement has not yet been finalised and is contingent on supply chain considerations.
Samsung has already launched the 16GB Galaxy S25 Ultra, available in select markets, while the global variants across the Galaxy S25 lineup feature 12GB of RAM.
Apple aims to enhance its iPhone 17 series, which is expected to debut in the latter half of the year, to keep pace with its competitors’ offerings.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has indicated that at least three iPhone 17 models will include the 12GB RAM configuration. Additionally, Apple is looking to upgrade the standard model’s RAM, although concerns about potential supply shortages persist.
If the iPhone 17 does not receive the RAM upgrade this year, it will likely occur with the iPhone 18 series. Kuo anticipates that the full iPhone 18 lineup will feature 12GB of RAM, continuing the trend set with the iPhone 17.
Currently, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models come with 8GB of RAM. As Apple increasingly integrates AI features in collaboration with OpenAI, providing additional RAM is becoming essential for effective execution and on-device processing.
Enhancing RAM capacity is expected to ensure smoother performance across the operating system, which will significantly improve the functionality of the iPhone 17 models.
Combined with Apple’s advanced chipsets, these new iPhones are positioned to pose robust competition to Android rivals, including the Galaxy S25 series.
