During an undercover British Broadcasting Corporation investigation, Dr Kelvin Alaneme revealed interviews to support allegations about unlawful job offerings to foreign nationals.
The BBC documentary reveals Dr Alaneme founded CareerEdu located in the Essex town of Harlow after his work at the National Health Service as a psychiatrist.
Reports from BBC media indicated that their undercover investigation started after multiple internet users complained about jobs he offered through his company.

CareerEdu operates as a “global opportunities launchpad for young Africans” and claims to work with 9,800 satisfied customers.
During the investigation, Dr Alaneme expressed interest in hiring a BBC correspondent because she has actively worked in the UK care sector.
The BBC undercover reporter was offered employment as an agent by Dr Alaneme, who gave her the promise of making her rich through care home acquisitions.
“Please get me care homes. He promised her that she would achieve millionaire status, according to the television report.
The BBC journalist gained exclusive knowledge about immigration fraud mechanisms used by agents after being evaluated as a potential business partner in their article.
Dr Alaneme pledged to give £2,000 ($2,600) in cash for each senior care vacancy she would bring to him and added another £500 ($650) payment for her work.
The suspected plan of Alaneme was to sell available positions to prospective candidates in Nigeria.
The applicants receive these roles without charge because the service remains free of expense. Dr Alaneme spoke softly when he said the service should be free of charge. The candidates understand that this payment method represents their probable only opportunity to immigrate.
The Nigerian patient Praise stated he spent over £10,000 ($13,000) through his payments to Dr Alaneme for UK job placement.
He received instructions that his employment would be at Efficiency for Care, which operates from Clacton-on-Sea.
He found out upon arrival that no position existed at the address.

The BBC investigation revealed multiple problems with the employment records maintained by Efficiency for Care.
The research reveals that Efficiency for Care declared an employee total of 16 personnel for 2022 while reporting 152 workers in 2023.
Public records show through the letter from the Home Office to Efficiency for Care that the company received 1,234 Certificates of Sponsorship between March 2022 and May 2023.
Dr Alaneme detailed an elaborate scheme in a covert conversation about paper-based sponsorship of nonexistent job positions.

As part of his defence, Dr Alaneme firmly rejected the idea that CareerEdu operated as a fraudulent entity because it did not operate as either a recruitment service or a paid job provider.
According to him, the Praise payments went through a recruitment agent to cover transportation load, ging, and training expenses.
During the BBC article, the doctor claimed to assist Praise in obtaining free employment placement.

Representatives from the company specified that they would accept a payment of £2000 to fund training sessions along with transportation expenses. The deal appeared too unreal in contrast to traditional practices, so I got excited about its potential when he relayed it to me.
During questioning from Praise the client, we proved that his full payment was transferred only to the recruitment agency. Despite being aware of this truth, he continues to damage our company’s reputation, which we work so hard to maintain. We will address this legally.”
The mission at CareerEdu has always centred on providing international opportunities to Nigerian youth. The company admits that services for international relocation have decreased because of rising anti-immigration sentiments worldwide and unfavourable exchange rate conditions.
