JAMB 2025 UTME Date Changed: Exam to Commence On Thursday April 24

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the start of the JAMB 2025 UTME.

According to an official statement released on Saturday via JAMB’s X (formerly Twitter) handle and signed by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the exam will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the earlier date of Friday, April 25, 2025.

The change was made to accommodate important schedules involving JAMB and its partner agencies.
“The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is now set to commence on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled date of Friday, April 25, 2025,” the statement read in part.

JAMB has also opened the portal for candidates to print their UTME 2025 Notification Slips from Saturday, April 19, 2025.

These slips are very important, as they contain all the key details candidates need to prepare for the exam, including; Date of the exam, venue/centre, time, and important instructions.

“Candidates are encouraged to print their Notification Slips starting today, Saturday, April 19, 2025. This will provide ample time for logistical arrangements to access their assigned centres within the chosen examination towns,” the Board stated.

To print your JAMB 2025 UTME slip, follow these steps:

• Go to www.jamb.gov.ng
• Click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”
• Enter your JAMB registration number
• Click “Print Examination Slip”

JAMB strongly advises all candidates to locate their exam centres at least a day or two before the actual exam. This will help reduce any last-minute confusion or delay.

“It is strongly advised that candidates print their slips and familiarise themselves with their examination centres at least one or two days before the examination date,” JAMB added.

The Board reassured candidates that no one would be posted to centres outside the towns they selected during registration.

“Candidates will be assigned to centres within their chosen examination towns; no candidate will be placed in a centre outside their selected town,” the statement concluded.
