Tompolo Backs Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and former militant leader, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has thrown his full support behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

During an interview with Arise Television on Saturday, Tompolo said it would not be fair for political power to return to the North after former President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight years in office.

He insisted that Tinubu should be allowed to complete his two constitutional terms before any other region seeks to lead.

“We don’t want any problems. Tinubu should be allowed to finish his two terms, and then by 2031, another leader can emerge,” Tompolo said. “Tinubu is a good man. He has the experience to move this country to greater heights.”

Tompolo backs Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, calling for Nigerians to respect the president’s four-year mandate and allow him the chance for another term. He praised Tinubu’s leadership skills and expressed strong confidence in the president’s ability to transform Nigeria.

He also announced plans to lead a national campaign to support Tinubu’s second-term ambition. Tompolo revealed that his campaign will go beyond the Niger Delta, extending into northern parts of the country to seek support from fellow Nigerians.

“We will play our part, even go beyond our boundaries to the North to talk to our brothers and compatriots so Tinubu can get a second term,” he said.

Tompolo further mentioned that many traditional rulers across the Niger Delta have already pledged their support for Tinubu’s re-election. He expressed hope that with collective efforts, more Nigerians will back the president.

“We are appealing to everyone, and by God’s grace, we believe all Nigerians will support us,” he added.

When asked about the political crisis in Rivers State, Tompolo expressed optimism that the disagreement between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, would soon be resolved.

He likened their situation to that of a boss and his loyal follower, assuring that the governor will continue his leadership with the president’s backing.

“The duly elected governor of Rivers State is coming back. Our president has always protected democracy, and he will not allow it to be destroyed,” Tompolo assured.
