Eyewitnesses say passersby noticed the man’s lifeless body inside his vehicle and quickly informed the police. The area was sealed off as officers began examining the scene.

This tragic incident occurred less than a week after another young man, Daniel Ayama, a 27-year-old graduate from the Federal University, Otuoke, was murdered just a short distance away from where the Bolt driver was found.

Initial findings suggest that the Bolt driver may have been shot at close range, raising suspicions of a targeted killing. Interestingly, nothing appeared to be stolen from the vehicle, which points away from robbery as a motive.

In a statement, Bayelsa State Police spokesperson, Musa Mohammed, confirmed that detectives are treating the case as a high priority. He said, “We are working to gather all necessary intelligence. Forensic teams have been deployed to the scene, and we are also liaising with the Bolt company to retrieve trip data that may help in tracking down the culprits.”
