A viral video showing Enugu native doctor Ezeani dedicating his newborn twins to the gods has sparked heated reactions online.

Enugu native doctor Ezeani

The footage, which surfaced on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), shows the controversial traditionalist performing what appears to be a spiritual ceremony, praying over the babies in a ritual setting.

This video comes at a time when Ezeani is under heavy public scrutiny following disturbing allegations of using human beings for ritual purposes. Reports claim that the remains of missing persons were discovered at his home, further deepening the controversy surrounding his activities.

Tensions escalated after students from a secondary school in Anambra reportedly stormed Ezeani’s residence.

The students accused him and his group of being responsible for the disappearance of one of their schoolmates, claiming the student was used in a ritual. They laid curses at his compound, demanding justice for the missing student.

While these serious allegations continue to circulate, the video of Ezeani calmly blessing his children has triggered mixed reactions from Nigerians. Some viewers expressed outrage, calling out the perceived hypocrisy in his actions, while others defended his right to practice his religion.

Here are some notable comments from social media:

@BigDEnergy000: “You see why most Igbo billionaires never make Forbes list? Ritual money doesn’t count. That’s why when they throw money at events, it’s just expected.”

@IkechukwuM72901: “He’s praying over his kids but is accused of killing other people’s children. How can his gods accept that?”

@Nattychemical: “Why not just sacrifice the twins too if he really believes in it? Madness.”

@neefenawti: “This is insane. He’s protecting his own, but destroying others.”

@MrKenny36126188: “He wants safety for his children while allegedly harming other people’s kids. Make it make sense.”

@Iamchibyk: “To be honest, there’s nothing strange here. Just as Christians dedicate their children in church, he’s doing his own in his traditional way.”

@Justina_Ikpe: “This is how generational curses begin. Children often end up paying for their parents’ wrongdoings.”
