In a heartbreaking video shared online, the roadside food vendor explained that his pots, frying pan, gas cylinder, and other essential utensils were taken away by officials of the Lagos State Government. He said the seizure has left him stranded and without a means of feeding his family.

According to the distressed man, despite pleading with the officials to return his equipment, they refused. His emotional cry has touched the hearts of many Nigerians who are now calling for help and support on his behalf.

With a shaky voice, the man described how his roadside Akara business was his only source of income. He mentioned that he not only uses the earnings to feed his children, but also supports the education of a young girl whose parents he doesn’t even know.

“This is what I’m using to feed me and my family. I have someone that I’m paying her school fees, I don’t know her father or mother, so it’s not only for my children…” he said, close to tears.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many users criticizing the government for what they describe as a lack of compassion for struggling Nigerians trying to make an honest living.
