Mohamed Salah Named Premier League Player of the Season
Liverpool’s star forward, Mohamed Salah, has once again claimed the prestigious title of Premier League Player of the Season, following a brilliant campaign that helped lead Liverpool to their 20th English league title matching Manchester United’s long-standing record.

This marks the second time Salah has received this honor. His first win came in the 2017/18 season, and now, he reclaims the spotlight with an outstanding performance throughout this term.
The 32-year-old Egyptian scored an impressive 28 goals in the Premier League, more than any other player, and contributed 18 assists. These numbers underline his massive impact on Liverpool’s success this season.
As the Reds gear up for their final match against FA Cup champions Crystal Palace, Salah is just two assists away from breaking the Premier League’s single-season assist record currently shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The Mohamed Salah Premier League Player of the Season award is determined through a combination of public voting and decisions from a panel of football experts.
This year, Salah broke Manchester City’s streak, which had seen their players dominate the award for the past four seasons. Before this, the last non-City player to win the award was Salah’s teammate, Virgil van Dijk, in the 2018/19 season.

Van Dijk, who signed a new contract with Liverpool earlier this year, just like Salah, was also one of the shortlisted candidates for the award.
Other notable contenders included Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, and Chris Wood of Nottingham Forest.
In addition to this latest achievement, Salah was earlier named the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year after receiving nearly 90% of the votes, the biggest winning margin in the 21st century. This recognition from both journalists and fans highlights his immense contribution to English football this season.
