Samsung’s One UI 8 Beta Program is set to launch, offering an early look at its upcoming software for the Galaxy S25 series, Z Flip6, and Z Fold6.

Here’s a preliminary guide on how to participate in the One UI 8 Beta Program and what to anticipate.

When the beta program is activated, here’s the process to join and experience One UI 8 ahead of others:

Open the Samsung Members App.

Make sure your Galaxy S25, Z Flip6, or Z Fold6 has the latest version of the Samsung Members app, as this acts as your entry point to the Beta.

Select the Beta Banner.

As soon as the program begins, a prominent One UI 8 Beta banner will appear in the Members app. This banner serves as your access key to the Beta Program.

Enroll in the program.

Click on the banner, follow the provided instructions, and agree to the Beta terms. This year, Samsung will streamline the process of joining and testing the Beta, reducing the number of steps across devices.

Download the Beta update.

Go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to obtain the One UI 8 Beta. The Over-The-Air (OTA) update may take a while to show up; however, once it’s available, you can easily download and install the version without losing your data.

After installation, use the Samsung Members app to report issues, explore new features, and assist Samsung in enhancing One UI 8.

Samsung is keeping the precise launch date confidential, but we have a projected timeline based on leaks and speculation:

Galaxy S25 Series: Anticipated late May or early June.

Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6:  These foldables are expected to follow shortly after, likely within weeks of the S25’s beta launch.

Built on Android 16, One UI 8 is set to be a transformative update. Anticipate smoother blur effects and revitalised app interfaces that exude a premium feel.

There are also expectations for improved animations and robust stability, providing an exceptionally smooth experience.

New features, such as an enhanced Now Brief, may introduce Galaxy AI to a wider range of devices.

The leaked One UI 8 firmware has unveiled some of the most thrilling changes and newly incorporated functionalities that Samsung has planned for its Galaxy users.
