A heartbreaking case of child abuse has sparked public outrage after a 14-year-old maid was allegedly tortured by her school principal and teachers using a hot pressing iron.

According to a report shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the page @PH_Socials, the young girl, who works as a domestic maid, was accused of stealing ₦30,000 by her employer.

Following the accusation, the woman reportedly went to the teenager’s school and informed the principal about the missing money.

In a shocking twist, instead of following proper procedures or investigating the matter, the principal — along with a few teachers allegedly decided to punish the girl themselves. They reportedly pressed a hot iron to her skin as a form of torture.

A video that surfaced online shows the girl holding her injured hand, with clear signs of burns believed to have come from the hot iron. The disturbing footage quickly went viral, leading to widespread anger on social media.

Many Nigerians are now demanding justice for the 14-year-old maid burned with hot iron and are calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the school staff involved.
