Burna Boy Reacts After Burkina Faso’s Leader Ibrahim Traore Says ; His Free Concert Is A ‘Distraction’

Renowned Nigerian singer Burna Boy recently addressed the situation surrounding his offer to perform a free concert in Burkina Faso, which was declined by the country’s leader, Ibrahim Traoré.

In a bid to uplift the spirits of the Burkinabe people amidst challenging times, Burna Boy had proposed to host a complimentary concert, aiming to bring joy and entertainment to the citizens.

However, President Traoré rejected this generous offer, citing the need for the nation to focus on pressing issues rather than distractions.

Burna Boy has since responded to critics who have derided him for what some perceive as a public embarrassment. The artist emphasised the importance of cultural exchange and the role of music in fostering unity during difficult periods, asserting that his intentions were purely to support and bring happiness to the people of Burkina Faso.
