Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Adekunle Adetayo, also known as Lalude, has publicly criticised Musiliu Akinsanya, widely recognised as MC Oluomo and the president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), for allegedly not fulfilling his financial commitments to entertainers who backed President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the 2023 general elections.

During a recent episode of the Beyond the Fame podcast, Lalude expressed his profound disappointment, indicating that he and other celebrities were promised ₦1.5 million each by MC Oluomo but received no payment.

The actor, famous for his roles as a traditional priest in Yoruba films, stated that he and others, including comic actor Ganiu ‘Alapini’ Nafiu, campaigned for over seven weeks without adequate compensation.

“At first, they provided us with ₦10,000 daily for meals, but that was suddenly halted,” he remarked. “We walked long distances daily while MC Oluomo rode in his car. Ultimately, we were entirely left behind.”

Lalude elaborated, “We completed the task yet received nothing in return. Is that fair? It was MC who reached out to us. He promised me and Alapini ₦1.5 million each. We specified our price — and till now, we have not received anything.”

He added, frustrated, “He took us to the place where we stayed to campaign for the president. Whoever is responsible for these wrongdoings will not succeed. I am aware they will return to us in 2027. We will be ready for them.”

Lalude’s disclosure arrives shortly after fellow veteran actors Ganiu Nafiu (Alapini) and Bukky Adekogbe Raji (Aminatu Papapa) shared similar feelings. Both openly expressed their regret for supporting Tinubu during the recent elections.
