According to a trusted leaker, Samsung is set to release its Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 soon, with the book-style model purportedly marking the beginning of a new era in foldable innovations.
Leaker UniverseIce recently said that the Galaxy Z Fold7 will introduce some “industry-first technologies.” While the source hasn’t detailed the specifics of these innovations, the revelation itself is noteworthy.
Samsung has faced criticism for its sluggish progress in foldable technology. Over the years, the company has slowly enhanced the foldable experience by implementing minor adjustments and relying more on software and AI than hardware improvements.
Well, the Fold SE seems to have greatly benefitted Samsung, paving the way for an innovation-rich Galaxy Z Fold7.

The device’s dimensions and aspect ratio are being revamped to match the Special Edition foldable released last year.
Previously, Samsung unveiled the first official trailer for the Fold7, hinting at Ultra experiences. Although the device may not be branded as Galaxy Fold Ultra, it indeed provides specifications reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy S Ultra flagship series, such as the display and camera.
Samsung has incorporated a backplate, which will make the device lightweight. The thickness is also being refined, with Samsung reportedly achieving a remarkable level of slimness in the foldable category.
The Fold7’s battery and charging features may remain similar to those of its predecessor. The company is rumoured to introduce a new solution to extend battery life and facilitate quicker charging with a 25W adapter.
The foldable may also utilize a power-efficient OLED display that will consume less energy, significantly enhancing the phone’s battery life.
AI is also expected to be crucial in optimizing applications to conserve battery without sacrificing performance.
