According to eyewitnesses, the attacker arrived late in the night and began damaging the building by breaking windows.

However, his actions were quickly interrupted by the combined effort of local police officers, vigilante members, and concerned residents. Their quick response helped to stop the attack before it could escalate.

One of the suspects, identified as Suberu Jose, was caught at the scene. He is said to be a familiar face in the community and reportedly admitted to taking part in similar attacks on the Senator’s home in the past. In fact, this marks his third known attempt.

Before the police could secure him, angry residents nearly took matters into their own hands, but security officers stepped in and safely took him into custody. A machete and several charms were recovered from the suspect.

Meanwhile, other attackers who were said to be armed managed to escape and are currently being tracked by law enforcement.
