Soldiers and Bandits Killed in Attacks on Army Bases in Kaduna and Niger
Several Nigerian soldiers and armed bandits lost their lives on Tuesday during coordinated attacks on military bases located in Kaduna and Niger states.

The violent incidents happened in multiple locations—Kwanar Dutse Mairiga and Boka in Niger State, and Aungwan Turai in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to reports, the armed bandits launched a well-planned, three-directional assault on the forward operating bases in these areas.
In swift response, troops from both the land and air forces engaged the attackers in intense counterattacks. These military actions led to the death of many of the bandits involved in the raids.
Despite the successful pushback by Nigerian forces, the Army confirmed that some of its personnel were killed during the battles. Additionally, four soldiers were injured by gunfire and are currently receiving medical treatment.
The Nigerian Army shared an official statement via its X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday, confirming the details of the incident.
