Woli Arole Slams Fellowship Leaders for Demanding Students’ Foodstuff as First Fruit

Popular Nigerian comedian, Woli Arole, has openly criticized some university fellowship leaders over what he described as exploitative behavior.

Taking to his Instagram page, Arole expressed deep concern about a growing trend in some campus fellowships. Leaders, often referred to as “Papa” and “Mama,” allegedly demand food items from fellow students under the guise of first fruit offerings.

Woli Arole criticizes fellowship leaders for taking advantage of their spiritual positions to place unnecessary pressure on students. According to him, being called “Papa” or “Mama” should not be an excuse for manipulative behavior.

In his post, he wrote:

“I heard they are already calling you ‘Papa and Mama’ in the University because you are a fellowship leader and you are also telling students to bring their foodstuffs as FIRST FRUIT. What nonsense!”

His post sparked reactions across social media, with many users supporting his stance and calling for accountability within campus religious groups.

Woli Arole, who is also known for his strong Christian values, made it clear that leadership within faith-based communities should be about service, not selfish gains.

While some netizens agreed with his viewpoint, saying it was time people spoke up against such practices, others called for better regulation and oversight of student fellowships to prevent abuse.
