Women Disguised in Hijab Caught Stealing Ankara Fabrics at Oshodi Market (VIDEO)

A recent incident at Oshodi Market in Lagos has stirred conversations across social media after a video surfaced showing three women allegedly stealing Ankara fabrics while disguised in hijabs.

The incident, which has been trending online, captured two of the suspects being confronted by angry traders, while the third reportedly escaped the scene.

The video, originally shared on X (formerly Twitter), shows the two women surrounded by traders inside a fabric store. According to details from the post, the women were accused of stealing about five pieces of Ankara fabric from a shop that specializes in clothing materials.

During the heated confrontation, one of the women was asked to remove her hijab, which was believed to be part of their disguise used to carry out the theft. The other woman was questioned in English by traders who were visibly angry and disappointed.

The footage quickly went viral, sparking an outpouring of reactions from Nigerians on social media. Many users expressed their shock and frustration over the incident, especially because the suspects were women using hijabs to hide their identities.
