Kristin Cabot, the head of human resources at tech company Astronomer, has stepped down from her role following an office romance scandal that made waves on social media.

Astronomer HR Chief Resigns

Her resignation came on Thursday, July 24, just days after a video surfaced of her sharing a romantic moment with Astronomer’s CEO, Andy Byron, during a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts. The incident was caught on the venue’s “kiss cam” and quickly spread online.

A representative from Astronomer, a New York-based tech firm, confirmed Cabot’s departure, stating, “Kristin Cabot is no longer with the company. She has resigned.”

TMZ was the first to report the news of her exit.

The company’s former CEO, Andy Byron, had already resigned over the weekend after the video went viral and stirred controversy.

The concert took place at Gillette Stadium just outside Boston, and footage showed Cabot and Byron trying to hide their faces after realizing they were being filmed.

What shocked many was the fact that both individuals are married to other people. Following the public backlash, Astronomer placed both employees on leave and began an internal investigation into the alleged affair.

Cabot had been with the company since November 2024, serving as Chief People Officer a role responsible for managing employee wellbeing and human resources.

This office romance scandal has raised serious concerns about workplace ethics and professional boundaries, especially for those in leadership positions.
